Baby Guinness is a shooter, a style of cocktail, intended to be consumed in one shot.

A Baby Guinness is a stunning cocktail that visually imitates a small pint of Guinness. It’s typically made by layering coffee liqueur, such as Kahlúa, on the bottom and Irish cream, such as Baileys, on top. The key to achieving the perfect layered effect is the difference in density between the two liqueurs. Using a bar spoon, gently pour the Irish cream into the back of the spoon so that it floats on top of the coffee liqueur, creating a distinct double-layered look. This technique not only adds visual interest to the drink, but also shows off the bartender’s skills. My experience at Fuller’s Pub and the knowledge I gained from my bartending course helped me create this impressive cocktail in my last job at Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC.

In the video below I show you a Baby Guinness that I layered in my last job at Fuller’s Pub for a group of clients.
