The Espresso Martini

Last year I worked as a barista at Costa Coffee and now, 6 months later, after getting my bartender certificate and improving my skills, I am thrilled that I can turn a small espresso into a completely different drink - The Espresso Martini - a sophisticated and delicious cocktail.

The Espresso Martini is popular with both coffee and cocktail enthusiasts. This invigorating drink is a perfect blend of strong espresso, smooth vodka and a hint of coffee liqueur, typically Kahlúa. Since I started working I must have sold 1000 espresso martinis :) This cocktail was invented by a bartender, Dick Bradsell, in London for Kate Moss who asked for a special drink to wake her up after clubbing.
